The Year
January, Barb and Georges house was for sale. It was finally sold at the end of March for cash. Barb purchased a condo in Edison off route one, George Poulo moved in with a friend in Plainfield with the cats.
Gregory had packed all his belongings which was approximated to be over 20,000 CD's DVD's and books. There were so many that he had to leave some behind. Greg moved into Aunt Carols home in Pioneer Plantation Florida. (Carols "partner" Earl has passed away in December) It was a good move as he was having hard times in his five story "walk-up" in Cinn. Ohio. Besides that he had lost his security job partly because of his health. Mike, his friend moved down there with him.
Greg has been in and out of the hospital with a heart condition since.
Bonnie and Paul had already announced their second child but the gender (A boy!) wasn't found out until Spring.
Glenn had succumbed to a nursing home. His health had been failing for a very long time and had really caught up with him now.
The economy had caught up with Georges job and he ended up laid off, homeless and deep in debt due to a loss in unemployment insurance. Many people had helped him including Barbara, George P, Golden Bear and he had to take refuge in upstate NY. In true Hartman fashion, Gary had offered for him to live at his beautiful home in Florida.
Glenn Junior a young twenty two, seeking guidance and answers in life had also packed all his belongings and purchased a one-way ticket to an Oregon "free land for free people" community.
In the early Summer Barb and Bernadette had funded a New Jersey trip for Brendas two children, Brooke and Becca. It was Brookes first trip to New Jersey in over ten years.
It was also around this time that Facebook fevor had overtaken the family by storm. Communication, laughter and photos were now just a finger tip away everyday.
It was through this medium that through Bernadettes absolute persistence she had discovered one of our long lost cousins daughters, Trish Gill. Through this major breakthrough a meeting was schedualed in Cleveland. A trip had already been planned by pregnant Bonny and Bernadette to see the Rock and Roll Hall of fame among other things.
Also through Facebook Bernadette had arranged two other trips to Jersey. One was to meet all her old high school friends. Another, later, on was arranged for Larrys birthday down the shore and a picnic of old high school friends.
In October Jim Gill and girlfriend Tammy flew in for a quick weekend visit. New York, Westfield and a Giants night game vs the Arizona Cardinals were on the agenda.
Barb went on a spiritual retreat to Mexico.
Bonnie approached the birth of her boy with much difficulty.
