| Around this very young photo of Mom and Dad I will place links of those we miss. Of those that have passed on but are waiting for us. Grant gave me this copy of a photo. It looked like it was done on a black and white copier. (Someone out there has the real photo). At first I was dissappointed with the quality but the more I looked at it, the more I loved it. It almost seems like a charcoal sketch. I remember Mom telling me it was her favorite photo of her and Dad. She told me the story behind it: They had just moved into a brand new 121 Whitman Street. Dad was upstairs in the right-side bedroom painting in a white tee shirt. She said the sun was shining through in streams. There were no curtains on the window. No furniture. She told me she was so happy. He was so happy. She actually took this photo herself, by holding the camera away. It is just one of those moments captured in time forever. A sunny bluesky day. Fresh paint. A fresh future ahead. |
