| They become known as the Karstmans..... In 1972 Edward Karst moved in to Whitman Street with his three sons, Frank, John and Ed (Edzoo). Edward Karst worked in General Motors Linden for twenty somewhat years and died of liver disease in 1985. Frank was a very generous, hard-working man when he lived with us. He had a special love for Brenda. He still works on West Lake Ave.(2006) Frank married and lives in Old Bridge with his son Jake. Jake is named after his Grandfather who came to visit quite often. Victoria his wife became very close to our family even after her husbands death. Beverly lived with her for many years in Linden. Victoria was a wonderful woman who died a very sad death. John became almost inseperable to Beverly and they lived together as "friends" for many years. After Beverlys death the last whereabouts of John were in Elizabeth. Edzoo married in the early 1990's to a Woodbridge woman named Michelle. I went to the wedding and only remember how Edzoo cried and cried so many tears because he was so happy. He was a very generous and talented electrician. We think he still lives in Woodbridge with his wife and child from another marriage. |
